It was the perfect day, not a cloud in sight and the cool breeze of fall created an enchanting atmosphere at Shenandoah Mill. This lovely venue has a rich history dating back to the 1920's (www.shenandoahmill.com), the combination of rustic wood, vintage furniture and lace made us feel as if we had been transported back in time. In a quiet corner of the room stood Kassandra and Javier, you could sense their love as they gazed upon each others eyes and you couldn't help but be excited for them.
A few months prior, Kassandra and I had met for the first time to go over her dream wedding plans...needless to say attention to detail was key.

Our goal was simple; Kassandra wished to have an intimate, elegant wedding with close family and friends. Highlighting the character of the venue was very important and by utilizing rustic furnishings and accents we where able to bring in the old.

Choosing florals was fun, once Kassandra had selected a color scheme we looked for unique blooms with elegant textures such as ranunculus, anemones, dahlias and added a twist with succulents. Silver dollar and seeded eucalyptus are some of Kassandra's favorite greens and therefore we incorporated it into just about everything:
Color was incorporated with florals as well as napkins, the use of rustic wooden boxes combined with silver votive candles help bring both rustic and elegance:
A barn style table was used as sweetheart table, to emphasize the natural beauty of this piece of furniture we chose to do a low garland that would drape on both ends:
The arch was stunning on it's own, we used minimum florals to enhance the overall look and incorporated some color thus creating an overall cohesive design throughout:
